CEVS

Cambridge Equine Veterinary Society

CEVS is a student run society, helping veterinary students at Cambridge to expand their knowledge of horses and equine practice in general. We host biweekly talks from national experts in equine medicine, surgery, behaviour, farriery, nutrition and more. We also run practical sessions for students to increase their hands on skills ready for EMS, rotations and eventually their career!

We think it’s essential for students hoping to go into equine practice to have a well rounded knowledge base above and beyond what is taught in the vet school curriculum, and it is great to gain a wide range of perspectives on equine practice from visiting speakers. This is why we invite speakers ranging from behaviourists to farriers to internationally recognised veterinarians.
