Keith Entwistle 2016

CUVS is pleased to invite you to this year’s Keith Entwistle Memorial Lecture and Dinner, on the 26th February 2016.

The speaker is Doug Allan, a renowned wildlife cameraman who has been at the head of some of the top BBC documentaries, including The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Life, Human Planet and Frozen Planet. The talk is entitled: “Teeth and Claws, or Cute and Cuddly?”. It will be held at McCrum Lecture Theatre, Corpus Christi College. The lecture theatre is found through the archway of the Eagle pub on Bene’t Street. Signs will be posted (NB: change of venue from original email!). Please aim to arrive at 5:45pm for a 6pm start.

Ever been watching a documentary and wondered: ‘How on Earth did they get that shot?’ Come along and hear about some of Doug’s most exciting adventures and the stories behind the footage. His inspirational camerawork has included more than 5000 hours of underwater diving and 650 dives under ice and has taken him to some of the most hostile places in the world. Here’s a little taster of what’s in store…
